Here We Go Again!

July 14, 2018 (RALEIGH) — We’re revisiting the past with the current fight for the Voter ID Amendment in this November’s ballot  The Left has recycled their tired themes from events like this 2015 voting rights” protest rally with their recent (and costly) Color of Change economic boycott campaign against North Carolina.

Then and now, they’ve built their entire case upon the twin tower of lies: First, they insist that voter impersonation fraud doesn’t exist; and second, they shout down anybody who disagrees with their first lie, by calling them “racists.” This Stalinist propaganda effort to deny the truth and to shout down their opponents is demagoguery at its worst.

Lawmakers all across the nation have passed hundreds of laws designed to increase voter turnout, with ZERO concern for the “type-two error” those laws accidentally invite: Abuse by criminal enterprises. Even when voter ID laws do survive the legislative and judicial process, they wind up loaded with loopholes.

Photo Voter ID will not bring complete balance back to the competing forces of “open” vs. “honest” elections, but it’s a good start. The universal solvent is transparency . . . but that will take a great deal more effort.
