Fact Check: Media Lied About Trump’s Election Boycott “Threats”

Oct 20, 2021

MSNBC lies about a comment posted by President Trump help us understand even more how dangerous their propaganda has become. It all began with an Oct 13, 2021 statement from The Desk of Donald Trump website, which said, “If we don’t solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020 (which we have thoroughly and conclusively documented), Republicans will not be voting in ‘22 or ‘24. It is the single most important thing for Republicans to do.”

That is not a threat. It is a fact. As the 2021 Georgia run-off elections proved, a small but significant amount of people walked away from the electoral process in that election and it cost Republicans RINOs their opportunity to control the Senate without any adult supervision.

The two GOP losses in their January Senate elections was blamed on 752,000 Republicans who sat out the January elections, but had voted in November. The media slanted that the mostly white, rural, Republicans had stayed home over Trump’s “loss” in November, and that his complaints of voter fraud “discouraged” them from voting.

We beg to differ. What kept them at home was both the overwhelming evidence of widespread ballot-box stuffing and the GOP establishment’s immediate conversion to never-Trumper status. Georgia’s Trump loyalists responded in the only non-violent way that they could: So many of them boycotted the election, that the RINOs lost control of the Senate.

President Trump’s (again!) correct read on the American mindset is that the folks who love our nation and our constitution want our politicians to fix the obvious electoral fraud we all witnessed in 2020 and failure to do so will bring unintended consequences. People will abandon any hope that our problems can be solved through the political process.

Before close with the danger of electoral boycotts, we need to examine how the media is encouraging the idea.

Media Lies to Promote Electoral Boycott

Any sentient adult reading the above Trump quote will agree that his Oct 13 statement made both a fact and an observation. Thought ignored by our state-controlled media, the fact is that the election fraud has been “conclusively documented.” His observation is that Republicans who turn a blind eye to that fact will not be supported in 2022 and 2024. He is right on both counts, but I don’t see any threats in this language.

After spinning the post as a call for a boycott or some sort of threat, they milked the lie and used it to lie about one of their most-hated members of Congress: Georgia’s Marjorie Taylor Green.

Part of their latest new false narrative claimed, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., is openly freaking out and taking a different line from him on election strategy.

She commissioned some sort of poll that actually confirmed what Trump was claiming: Around 4% of her responding Georgia voters said, “they won’t even vote due to voter fraud.”

MTG’s subsequent posts said, “Voices online that are telling you not to vote are doing the Democrats’ dirty work. Stop listening to grifters telling you not to vote. We must root out the fraud, but we also have to VOTE.”

Explaining what everybody in the business fully understands about the MSNBC lies, she added, “If we don’t vote, the Democrats win by default.” BINGO!

Sensing what our ruling RINO elites pretend to not know, she ended the thread with a mini manifesto: “It’s time to audit the 2020 election, prosecute the fraud, end mass mail-in ballots, and FLOOD THE POLLS in 2022.”

What we know about RINOs

Citing my experience working Virginia elections in late-90s, the podcast explained how the late US Senator John Warner completely alienated his party’s base drafting a third-party candidate to deny a win for a conservative Lt. Governor candidate during the red-wave election that brought George Allen into the Governor’s office.

The sad, but very-real) truth about RINOs is that they would rather throw away a safe Republican victory and give it to a Democrat than let a constitution-minded candidate win the election.

That’s also the key lesson learned last January, when such reliable McCain-class RINOs like Lindsey Graham, Mike Pence, and Mitt Romney began their moral preening over the false-flag “insurrection” waged by a few terrorist armed with Trump flags and bear spray.

The takeaway from all of their virtue signalling was clear: They’d rather destroy our nation than let an adult come back in and fight back against the globalist forces who are destroying American workers or all races, sexes, and ethnicities.

History Proves It: Election Boycotts are Disasters

To see how true MTG’s boycott analysis was about election boycotts, today’s podcast included references to 2005’s election boycott that destroyed Venezuela and the 1986 snap election that delivered the Philippines from totalitarian rule.

A contemporaneous blog post at the time said Venezuela’s 2005 Parliamentary elections gave the Communist dictator, Hugo Chavez, a veto-proof majority after, “the biggest Opposition parties” decided to boycott the elections because of a discovery that the “electronic voting system made it possible to identify voter’s choices.” (I wonder who supplied that voting system.)

Long story short: Chavez claimed the election was a mandate to change their constitution and he used his new powers to bankrupt his political opponents and destroy the most prosperous economy in South America.

On the happy side, the Philippine people were fed up with Ferdinand Marcos’ dictatorial rule and took matters into their own hands after his most promising political opponent, Benigno Aquino Jr., was conveniently assassinated at the airport in 1983.  Aquino’s fed-up supporters responded in a peaceful way that rocked the world.

Instead of triggering a revolution, his largely Catholic voter base drafted his wife, the late Corazon Aquino, for the office and the overconfident Marcos made a huge tactical blunder. He declared a snap election.

Now, I couldn’t find the reference to this claim, but I distinctly remember NPR describing how Aquino’s supporters prevented any “accidental” loss of ballots as they were being transported into Manila from the outlying districts: They ran alongside the jeeps and made guarded them!

Far from boycotting the elections, the voters took ownership of their elections. As a result, Aquino won.

Sensing the populist uprising correctly, President Reagan flew military jets over Manila and Marcos conceded the election.

Freedom won in Philippines that year and it can win in America again . . . if the people who love our country step outside their comfort zone and take ownership of our elections.
