Why did he abruptly resign from the board, just four days after 159 signed and photocopied absentee ballot envelopes were leaked to WSOC’s Joe Bruno?

Why, after that resignation, was Lutz still treated as an informant to SBOE Investigations Chief, Joan Fleming?

When asked if she had reached out to Lutz, she told Bladenboro Mayor Rufus Duckworth, “yes.”

If he was so trusted by election officials, why did he resign two days after Fleming and Director Kim Strach paid him a visit?
